Suzuki Marine GB has been proud to have supported INEOS Britannia in their campaign to challenge Emirates Team New Zealand for 37th America’s Cup.
In an epic 9-round series amidst varying sea states, the challenger was defeated by the defenders who retained the cup in their third consecutive successful defence.
Along the way, Suzuki Marine GB has supported INEOS Britannia as the official supplier of outboard motors to the team’s fleet of chase boats. x12 DF325A outboards have helped to power the numerous crew transfers, sail changes, coaching sessions and on-water activities the team needed to complete out in Barcelona.
Looking back on the partnership which was first announced at the 2022 Southampton International Boat Show, Mark Beeley, Head of Marine & ATV for Suzuki GB, said, “To contribute to such an incredible campaign for British boating has been a privilege for us, and we send our congratulations to the whole of the INEOS team and of course to the winners, Emirates Team New Zealand.”
The America’s Cup is one of the world’s toughest sporting challenges and the pinnacle of yachting. As the British Challenger, INEOS Britannia, led by Sir Ben Ainslie and backed by INEOS, strives for engineering excellence and is pushing the boundaries of modern sailing technology and engineering.
The same drive and approach to innovation has been used to identify the very best equipment and components to support the team, which is why Suzuki was selected as the official supplier of outboards.
